Still busy, still behind. Every time another tasker comes down the pipe lately my first question is: “So, which of the 72 other ‘high priority’ tasks do you not want me to do so I can get this done?”

I did get to have a few beers with Skippy last night, though. Great guy, struggling to get by in a world of nitwits. Sort of like it was here until the “regime change” of turnover was executed about a month ago. Now my superiors just look at what’s on my plate and say, “prioritize the problems, and do what you can.” I hate the idea of having to pass problems on to my relief, and knowing I will probably pass problems on to my relief over a year before I depart.

Yep, it was pretty bad. Material condition was great, but I’ve got a lot of admin and training issues to deal with. That doesn’t mean I’m not going to go have a beer with Skippy tonight, but my days are pretty full.

Oh, and fear not, this style is not going to stay. I just stole it to get the column formatting right, and will start making it look and feel like the old site shortly.
